“There’s a gourmet restaurant at the mall now? Damn, I should go out more often.” Amy laughed. Well, I stopped going out after I started getting bigger… She looked at Steph as she got food from a plastic bag. “Oh lord, you should see what my father texted me when I woke up after giving birth.”
“Yup. The first one. It just opened 2 days ago.” She handed Amy the pasta. “And since I was there, I thought of you and how you might want to taste some of their food. That’s why I got you some.” She looked down at the plastic bags. “I also got some things for you & Charles.” She smiled at Amy and then looked down at Charles, smiled and said, “I got you something.” while tickling his stomach. This made him smile a little and she found it cute.

“It`s okay. Maybe he`s busy with family or something. I bet he really wanted to be here with you & your son.” She looked at Charles once again. “Can I carry him? Or is that not allowed? I`m sorry. I`m not used to being around newborn babies so I don`t exactly know the rules.” She looked at Amy and realized she had eyebags. “Why not sleep? Have you even eaten already? You look like you haven`t.”
“We’ll never really know… He’s been MIA, it’s worrying me a little bit. What matters to me now is that Charles isn’t sick with anything, and I don’t have to lie around whining anymore.” she replied. She smiled at Steph and gave Charles to her. “I’m not exactly sure if you’re allowed to carry him, but I guess you can. I don’t see any harm in it. And I’m really not sleepy, just tired. I haven’t eaten much, really.”
“You never know. He could just have a new phone so, he couldn`t contact any of us. Relax, dear.” She paused and said “Oh, that`s good. It will be sad if he is at this stage of his life.” She then stood up, got Charles from Amy and rocked him back and forth. “He`s so cute.” She then sat back down and looked through the plastic bags. “And that`s why I brought you food. I`m not sure what you could eat so I just bought some pasta with shrimp from the new gourmet restaurant at the mall.”

“I know the feeling.” She sighed. “During those moments, just keep on mind that you are beautiful and nobody could change that fact.” She looked at Charles and then smiled once again. “Maybe.” She paused. “Why the sudden sigh? You miss Rafe, huh?”
“Well, y’know, I guess he said he was going to be with me through this.” Amy said frowning. “Honestly, I never thought that he meant it completely. But I just thought it would’ve been great to have him around. He’s not, so… so yeah.” Silence filled the room right after she spoke. She wanted to say more, but she decided to change the topic. “Gah, I’m so tired.”

Joey walked, or more accurately, dragged his feet into the hospital room. This day’s dance session had nothing to do with dance, it was Fitness Day, and Fitness Day sucks the energy out of you.
Steph texted him that Charles, the Latina chick’s son was born. Bring jackets. She said. Joey obliged. “Hey, Steph, Amy, Charles.” He croaked.
Steph was just about to call Joey up and ask him where he was until he showed up at the door. She looked at him and said, “You look like a wreck.” She laughed. “Your clothes are okay and so is your hair but you look really tired. Been dancing, huh?” Joey nodded. “Well, you sit down here beside the bed. Charles is sleeping by the way.” She showed him the baby who looked like an angel while sleeping.

“Yeah.” She returned the smile. “Of course not. He looks really handsome. I bet when he grows up, a lot of girls will fall head over heels for him.” She giggled. “Oh, come on. He`s Carter. Aren`t you used to his insults?” She paused. “And, you should know you`re not ugly. You`re a really beautiful girl and look at the baby you`re holding right now. He looks that good because of you. And Rafe as well but, you get my point.”
“It looks like I’m used to those insults, but truth be told, there are times where… I don’t know, I’m too lazy to ignore them?” she said shrugging. She looked down at Charles and back to Steph. “…Yeah, I guess you can say he’ll grow up to be hotter than me, haha.” When she mentioned Rafe, Amelie bit her lower lip and sighed.

She opened the door and went inside the room. The first thing she was a small baby boy in Amy`s arms. He had her brown eyes and Rafe`s sort of brown hair. He looked at his face and he looked more like his mom than his dad. She sat down on the couch beside the bed and put the things down. She then said, “He looks like you, with the brown eyes and everything.”
She rolled her eyes playfully and gave Steph a weak smile. “You really think so? He doesn’t look bad, right? I mean, I’m starting to think I made Charles look like me too much to the point where it creeps me out,” she chuckled. “Plus, Dumbo Montgomery made a so-called joke saying he hoped that the baby didn’t get my looks because he’s been calling me ‘ugly’ for a really long time now and to be honest, it’s getting me worried.”

She didn`t bother to go back to Thompson High anymore because she was excited to hang out with someone else and at the same time, see the new baby. She carried the things she got all the way to the hospital, asked the receptionist what room Amy was in and went directly there. She knocked on the door twice and called, “Amy, it`s Steph.”

Success is nothing if you’re not with the people you love the most.
That is what Samuel learned while studying at Thompson High. Although the whole school was rejoicing for their team’s victory in the recent Math Competition, he felt incomplete and unsatisfied. He maybe one of the smartest guys…
As Steph was having what she calls her “lay low” time, she missed going out with her friends. This made her want to go to the one place where she meets up with most of her friends, the courtyard.
As she walked to the courtyard with a caramel espresso and book in hand, she was wishing she would see some certain people like Joey, Alric, Elise or Amy. She patiently waited under the tree where she first met Alric and read her book. She did see one of her friends but she honestly didn’t want him to see her.
Laying Low.
Steph feels like she has caused so much drama here at Thompson High and so, she decided to lay low for the past month and that is what she did. After a month, she found going to classes and hanging out with herself in the campus boring and lonely. Especially on Valentine’s Day. This has caused her to stop laying low.
